STEPHEN MINISTRIES (Continued)

 

If I request a Stephen Minister, or make a referral for someone, is everyone at Fairlawn Nazarene going to know? No. All Stephen Leaders and Stephen Ministers are comprehensively trained, constantly reminded and strongly advised to maintain strict confidentiality.

 

How do I refer someone to Stephen Ministry?

 

Obtain verbal permission from that person to give their name to Pastor Steve Vaughn or John Moyer.

Contact Pastor Steve or John and they will take it from there

 

Please do not promise a Stephen Minister someone, just say it may be possible.

 

Stephen Ministers serve our congregation and community by obeying Christ's commands to "love one another" and "bear each others burdens." And Stephen Ministers disciple individuals by walking with them through trying circumstances and by providing them opportunities to grow in their faith and understanding of our Savior. Stephen Ministers believe in the inerrant Word of God and have faith in the healing power of Christ. They understand the critical need to minister to those facing life changes and challenges and value the importance of maintaining confidentiality.

 

The following individuals currently serve as Stephen Ministers to our congregation and community.

 

They are: Jane Burruss, John Butler, Ida Edlin, Mark Gieseke, Dan Golightley, Kandy Haxton, Glenda Irwin, Lorna Mize, Rita Moyer and Mary Shipps.

 

Our Stephen Ministers are trained and ready for Christian service.
