WELCOME TO ‘THE LAWN’

Joy joined our church staff as pastor to Children and their families in May 2009.  Before her move to Topeka she lived in Nashville, TN and Houston, Texas where she worked as a volunteer in the Children’s department at Trevecca Community Church and the Children’s Pastor at Houston First.

She attended Trevecca Nazarene University and received a degree in Music Business which she was going to pursue a career as an Artist Manager.  God’s plans were different.  During the summer of 2001, God made it clear to her that she should travel and speak to kids about the unfailing love that God has for each of us.  The past four years have been devoted to telling kids everywhere she goes that Jesus loves them no matter what.

 

Joy’s goal here at “The Lawn” is to create a place for kids and their parents to learn the truth in ways that take them to the place where they can encounter God.

 

We are excited about Joy bringing her skills and love for the Lord to “The Lawn”!
